At this year’s banquet, the Ansonia FFA installed three new members as Honorary Degree Recipients. Honorary degree recipients are people from the community who have helped the chapter over the years by donating their time and wisdom to the field of agriculture to help make the organization a success. Morgan and Matt Aultman were the first to receive their Honorary Degrees. Matt and Morgan Aultman have benefited our chapter in many ways to receive such an honorable award as this. Both were once members of our great organization, and they have aided us in numerous endeavors for our organization. They have helped us with fair projects, countless questions on our animals’ well-being, Monte Carlo Night, the farmers market, and even helped us receive grants for our recent greenhouse addition. Our other Honorary Degree was given to Don DeMange. Mr. DeMange has always been there to assist our chapter with our greenhouse, and he has even excavated our soil judging pits for us each year. He never fails us, and has made our greenhouse what it is today. Through his helping hand in our recent addition to the greenhouse, his donation of compost for our garden, and his simple lending of his time and knowledge, Don has helped sculpt our greenhouse into the blossoming spring flower it truly is. Without the help of these Honorary Degree recipients, the Ansonia FFA would not be the wonderful organization that it is today. The Ansonia FFA would once again like to thank the newest honorary members for all that they do for the FFA.
